Find a Whirlpool Washer or Dryer Model Number

Documentation checkedBy ErrHiveUpdated

START HERE

Start with the label around the door or lid opening. Record the complete model number, including its ending characters.

Common washer locations

Whirlpool lists the front-load washer label inside the door on the opening rim. On a top-loader, look beneath the lid on the tub rim.

Dryer and combined-appliance locations

For a conventional dryer, check inside the door rim. Whirlpool lists the door frame for all-in-one washer-dryers and the inside of the dryer door for stacked laundry units. Some ventless dryers place the label behind the water tank.

Keep the identifiers separate

Copy the model and serial numbers into separate fields. Photograph the whole label for your own reference, then use the manufacturer support page to confirm the product.

If the label is not visible

These are common locations. Do not remove panels or move heavy equipment solely to search for a label; use manufacturer assistance for the exact appliance.
