GE Washer SEnSIng: Normal Load Sensing
THE SHORT ANSWER
The washer is determining load characteristics.
On supported GE top-load washers, SEnSIng is a normal load-sensing status before or during filling. It is not, by itself, a fault code.
Check whether the cycle continues and the status changes.
Keep checks outside service panels. Stop if there is leaking water, unusual heat, a burning smell or damaged wiring.
WHAT YOU MAY NOTICE

Safe troubleshooting checks
Use the checkboxes to keep track as you read. Stop at any warning or step that does not match your appliance.
Allow the selected cycle to proceed rather than repeatedly restarting it.
What to noteNormal progression can be distinguished from a stall.
If the washer never progresses, describe the behavior and model to GE.
What to noteA separate operating problem can be assessed.

How to use this guidance
Record elapsed behavior instead of inventing a universal maximum sensing time. The displayed word explains a stage; it does not prove that a washer stalled indefinitely is operating normally.
